The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a senior acquisition and technical advisor to the AFMC Planning and Programming Division, recognized as the developmental planning, capability requirements, and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) Program Objective Memorandum (POM) expert.
Duties
Serves as Division focal point to integrate across functions and use acquisition and technical expertise to advise A8P, MAJCOM, and Air Force leadership as necessary. Integrates developmental planning and POM processes and documents across MAJCOM portfolio. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with HQ AFMC offices, AFMC Centers, and other MAJCOMs, AirStaff, other Services/Agencies and DoD Offices. Serves as a technical and acquisition advisor to senior MAJCOM, Air Force, and DoD subject matter experts and/or agency officials responsible for broad AFMC operations. Attends meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to AFMC developmental planning, program execution, and planning and programming. Accomplishes professional development and maintains acquisition and technological proficiency through professional interaction with technical and professional experts, associations, academia, symposia, contractors, formal training, and Research Development Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) organizations.
