GovRemoteJobs ("we," "us," or "our") operates govremotejobs.com (the "Site"). This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it. There's less to explain than you might expect: this Site has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, and no database of visitor information.

1. The Resume Checker Collects Nothing

The "check your resume against this job" tool on every job page runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. The resume text you paste is never sent to our servers, never transmitted anywhere, and never stored — it exists only in your browser's memory while the page is open, and disappears when you close or refresh the tab. We built it this way deliberately; you don't have to take our word for it — view your browser's network activity while using the tool and you'll see no request carrying that text.

2. Information Collected Automatically

Like virtually every website, standard technical information is collected by our hosting and security provider (Cloudflare) as part of serving pages — IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We don't operate any separate analytics or tracking system ourselves.

3. Cookies and Advertising

If advertising is enabled on this Site, Google and other third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info.

4. Third-Party Links

Every job listing links to its original posting on a government or employer website outside our control. We aren't responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — check their own policies before applying.

5. Job Listing Data

The job postings displayed on this Site are sourced from the official USAJOBS API and public employer career-site feeds. This is publicly available hiring information, not personal data about you.

6. Children's Privacy

This Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We may update this policy from time to time; the "Last updated" date above will reflect that.
