Summary
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does not convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DoD Cyber Defense Command (DCDC).
Duties
Oversees the cyber protection team operations process, from mission trigger to post-mission assessment, and approves complex mission plans to ensure alignment with commander's intent.
Leads liaison efforts with other components, intelligence agencies, and mission partners to deconflict operations, share intelligence, and ensure a unified effort in cyberspace.
Provides authoritative advice, guidance, and oversight regarding the policy, planning, and functioning of countermeasures, emerging technologies, and mission assurance functions.
Coordinates and implements defensive cyberspace operations and cultivates relationships with partner organizations to optimize services rendered against cyber aggression.
Performs the full range of supervisory duties, including planning and assigning work, setting performance standards, and identifying developmental and training needs for personnel.
Education
There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-14 grade level.
