Summary

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Zama, Camp Zama, Japan. This is a position with an initial overseas tour of 36 months with possible extensions for a total of 5 years.

Duties

Directs execution and enforcement of Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Information Management (C4IM) services, policies, standards, architectures, programs, plans, and budget for Information Technology (IT) programs are supported.

Develops short and long-range plans, goals, and objections for the Division's administration and assigned activities which may include military contingencies or surges in workload.

Assists with fiscal planning and development of the annual Program Objective Memorandum for supporting 78th Signal Battalion program objectives.

Manages and controls the Telecommunications Network, GIG-E Backbone, transport and telephone systems, Video Teleconferencing facilities and Multimedia systems and support.

Analyzes and recommends hardware or software configuration and improvements to the maintain data integrity and network operating systems.
