Summary
This position is located in the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships, Resolution Strategy Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of resolution and receivership activities of financial institutions and plays a role in proposing and establishing resolution strategies for failing financial institutions. Duties
Assists in the evaluation and implementation of policies and procedures related to financial institution resolutions and receivership activities. Prepares receivership business plans of moderate complexity and reviews portions of plans prepared and submitted by others for completeness and consistency with established financial goals and objectives. Documents findings, develop preliminary recommendations for review, and assist in preparing presentations or briefings for management. Develops written and oral presentations for management, other FDIC officials, federal and state regulatory agencies concerning financial transactions, theories, and analysis of economic impact. Resolves operating problems and/or makes recommendations to management.
Requirements
Registration with the Selective Service. U.S. Citizenship is required. Employment Conditions. Completion of Confidential Financial Disclosure may be required. Employee may be relocated to any duty location to meet management needs. Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) required.

If you are found qualified, you will be placed in one of three categories: Best Qualified, Highly Qualified, or Qualified. These category assignments are a measure of the degree in which your background and responses to the identified assessment match the competencies listed below. Within these categories, candidates eligible for veterans' preference will receive selection priority over non-veterans. The assessment includes a cut-off score based on the minimum level of required proficiency in these competencies. You must meet or exceed the cut-off score to be considered, however, CP/CPS veterans who achieve at least a 70 are eligible to move forward to the next assessment even if they do not meet the BQ cut score. You will not be considered for the position if you score below the cut-off score or fail to complete the assessment. If you meet the minimum qualifications/eligibility, your experience, education, and training will be rated using accomplishment statements based on the competencies needed to perform the duties of the position.
