Summary
You will serve as a GG-12 Security Specialist utilizing a fundamental knowledge of Department of War (DoW) and Department of Navy (DoN) security policies and directives pertaining to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and overall DoW SCI security requirements. You will provide the full spectrum of security guidance, services, and technical advice in a wide range of security functional areas. This position is located at NAVAL INTELLIGENCE ACTIVITY in Suitland, Maryland.
Duties
You will deliver high-quality security services and products while actively driving continuous process improvement initiatives.
You will provide assistance in the oversight of Navy Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Industrial and other SCI security programs.
You will advise customers and leadership on security and disclosure concepts, principles, methodology, and practices, as it pertains to the Command and/or Department of War (DoW) elements.
You will analyze and identify security educational needs of the workforce and/or weaknesses in the program and provide recommended solutions.
You will assess the security posture of the Command and/or supported Department of War (DoW) elements.
You will conduct on-site security assistance visits (SAV) for compliance with applicable security standards, regulations, and operating procedures and to ensure Department of War (DoW) equities are met.
You will conduct security administrative duties; to include providing support in the execution of Preliminary Inquiry Reports of security violations, processing Periodic Reviews, message traffic handling, and security-related database management.
