About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the .This position is located at the 7th SIG CMD (T) 21st SIG BDE 114th SIG BN in Adams, Pennsylvania.

Duties

Serves as an Information Technology Specialist responsible for supporting the various telecommunications network/data/voice systems serving the disbursed missions of the 114th Signal Battalion.

Maintain complete knowledge regarding all circuits and systems of the SOC operation.

Provide customer support on bridging, routing and inter-operability.

Develop and provides training programs on the LAN/WAN facilities.

Utilize network management facilities to monitor end evaluate backbone LAN performance.

Attend routine and regular SCI level meetings and/or Video Teleconferences, and participation in working groups.

Develop architecture and modernization initiatives supporting the geographic combatant command.

Advise and participate in the activities of the shift utilizing appropriate test equipment to troubleshoot circuit problems and to contact other centers or tributary stations to inform of problems and coordinate corrective actions.
