Summary

This Supervisory Information Technology Program Manager (Senior Deputy Assistant Director for Enterprise Administration) position is located in the Information Technology and Data Division, Washington, DC. NOTE: This is a non-law enforcement position. Individuals selected for these positions will lose law enforcement coverage and will need to return to a position with "primary" law enforcement coverage to regain coverage.

Duties

As the Senior Deputy Assistant Director for Enterprise Administration, the incumbent oversees the BOP's information technology (IT) enterprise operations and support. This oversight includes planning, budgeting, and execution of resource management and oversight of IT staff training and technical support; and IT support of BOP field users, including institution staff, regional offices, training centers, and the Central Office. The incumbent also has oversight of the management and support of non-BOP users accessing BOP IT systems. As a principal member of the Assistant Director's staff, the incumbent is involved in all major policy decisions in the review and evaluation of program areas and must remain current on goals and objectives of the supervisor in the BOP. The incumbent will serve as a liaison between ITDD and other divisions and offices. In this capacity, the incumbent will serve as the focal point within the Division for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of relevant national program review activities as well as providing support, assistance, and feedback for program changes. The incumbent works with various members of the criminal justice community, including courts, Congress, DOJ components, Department of Homeland Security, State and local entities, and others to identify and coordinate trends, programs, events, and other actions and to develop and coordinate various targeted BOP programs or dissemination of information.

Requirements

U.S. Citizenship You will need to successfully complete a background security investigation before you can be appointed into this position. You will be required to travel occasionally for training and operational purposes. You must submit to a drug test and receive a negative drug test result before you can be appointed into this position. After appointment, you will be subject to random testing for illegal drug use.
