Summary
This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense (5 U.S.C. § 9905). Location: Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Office of the Inspector General, Audit & Liaison Division, located at Fort Meade, MD or Scott AFB, IL.
Duties
Manages all DISA OIG audit operations, functions, and personnel; internal and external audit follow-up activities; evaluate/adjust audit goals/objectives; and the Corrective Action Report (CAR) process to promote effectiveness in programs/operations.
Formulates, interprets, and provides oversight of DISA OIG’s cybersecurity/information technology and performance audit program policy and processes and the audit and liaison program policy and processes.
Provides in-depth information, technical guidance, interpretation, and instruction on systems and security for cyber audits and represents the office in studies and briefings that encompass major cybersecurity aspects of Agency operations.
Designs/implements/evaluates effectiveness of internal audit quality management programs to assist in achieving/maintaining acceptable levels of quality for meeting Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards and DOW IG peer review requirements.
Provides expert advice to OIG, internal leaders, and external officials on audit and follow-up, cybersecurity/IT programs, communication, contracting, finance, and strategic/ audit planning. Formulates annual/multi-year plans and contract audit work.
Education
