Summary
You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST for NAVINFOWARDEVCEN NORFOLK.
Duties
You will assist with the Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security program including physical security, personnel security, and industrial security.
You will assist with directing and controlling security programs, to include general facilities protection and use of electronic access control.
You will assist with directing and controlling security programs to include intrusion alarms and personnel clearance processing.
You will ensure proper physical safeguards for the protection and storage of classified materials and equipment.
You will maintain knowledge of all applicable directives, regulations, manuals, and guidelines to adequately discharge duties and responsibilities.
You will investigate security infractions and make recommendations for corrective actions.
You will conduct building surveys and sweeps to ensure compliance with DoD, DoN and local applicable security regulations.
You will provide guidance in ensuring that all contractor personnel are appropriately assigned as it relates to need-to-know and authorization access.
Education
GS-11: In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related or A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. GS-09: In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related or A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
