Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. You will serve as a QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST (SHIPBLDG).
Duties
You will plan, develop, implement and maintain comprehensive process control programs of broad applicability designed to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of Contractor processes, including specialized processes.
You will schedule, plan and conduct quality program audits of various contractor systems and processes.
You will plan and conduct contract reviews for determination of quality program requirements.
You will review the Contractor's procedures, practices, instructions and directives for contractor compliance, completeness, adequacy, correctness, practicality, and conflicts.
You will plan and conduct scheduled procedure evaluations for compliance and program operation adequacy.
You will prepare written reports, memoranda and correspondence detailing results of assignments.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: For the GS-07 Grade Level: successful completion of one full year of graduate level education with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position; -OR- successful completion of a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position; -OR- a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. For the GS-05 Grade Level: successful completion of a four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with major study in quality assurance, statistics, mathematics, production management, industrial management, computer science, engineering, engineering technology, physical sciences, textiles, or another field related to the position; -OR- a combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
