Duties
Directs the technical management of a large Automated Information Systems (AIS) supporting a major business area.
Develops guidance techniques and provides program expertise of the design, development, testing, costing, in sustainment of the automated information management system.
Provides planning and guidance for the operations and maintenance of the software engineering groups and technical support staffs supporting the systems for the specified business area.
Completes business cases in support of projects; participate in or facilitate business process modeling and research efforts; and, act as a consultant to project teams and senior leadership.
Serves as senior advisor to management on matters relating to automated information systems development efforts, policies, standards within the assigned business area.
Education
Education is not substitutable for specialized experience at this grade level.
