Summary

This position serves as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist for non-expendable (NX) assets/material In a VA Health Care System and supported catchment area. Supervises multiple supply or material classes/series. Is recognized as Material Management Section's subject mailer expert and serves as advisor and consultant to the Chief Supply Chain Officer and Assistant CSCO on property management matters for sound materiel management concepts, practices, and control of all personal property.

Duties

Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Plans, directs and manages the activities of the Material Management Section, to Include property management, equipment management, run warehouse receiving, and distribution. Oversees the lifecycle management of non-expendable assets in the VA HCS and supported catchment area. Conducts data/information analysis for acquisition planning associated with materials and/or capital equipment. Develops and supports the creation of acquisition strategies and standardization initiatives to acquire and purchase high-tech, high-cost medical devices, surgical equipment devices and major classes of materials, displaying familiarity with contracting laws and regulations with Industry practices. Participates In VISN and facility strategic planning to support major and minor construction projects. activation of new facilities, and reuse of existing space involving multi-million dollar projects. How you will be evaluated

Your qualifications will be evaluated based on your application materials (e.g., resume, supporting documents), your responses on the application questionnaire, and your responses to all assessments required for this position. You will be assessed on the following Competencies for this position: Conflict Management Influencing/Negotiating Manages Resources Partnering Planning and Evaluating Supervisory Situational Judgment Test. Applicants will be required to complete a Supervisory Situational Judgment Test (SSJT) as part of the assessment process for this position. The SSJT evaluates judgment and decision-making skills that align with relevant competencies, organizational values, and best practices. Assessment results may be used as part of the evaluation, ranking and referral process. This is not a timed test, however, the assessment is expected to take approximately 45 minutes or less to complete. The assessment for this application does not include a cut score for a minimum level of required proficiency in these critical general competencies. However, you must answer each item in the assessment. Your experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week. A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
