Summary
This position, located in the Division of Atlantic Operations, provides inventory and general logistics management support to the Maritime Administration Ready Reserve Fleet (RRF) vessels, warehouses, and field storage sites.
Duties
As an Inventory Management Specialist, you will: Conduct shipboard and warehouse supply and logistics audits for compliance with existing contracts, policies, and procedures. Conduct physical inventories and reconcile results in the inventory management software application. Identify excess material and prepare material for offload and shipment. The ideal candidate for this position will possess mid-level inventory and logistics management knowledge and experience with the capability to adeptly apply documented shipboard and warehouse inventory and logistics concepts, principles, and practices, resulting in clear and concise verbal and written inventory and/or logistics posture assessments.

A government contractor-issued travel card will be issued and must be retained for official business only. PRE-EMPLOYMENT HEALTH ASSESSMENT: If selected for the position you will be required to complete a pre-employment/pre-appointment medical examination and Functional Capacity Examination. PROBATIONARY PERIOD: You must complete a one-year probationary period (unless already completed). TIME-IN-GRADE: Federal applicants must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade in the competitive or excepted service in the executive branch to satisfy time-in-grade restrictions contained in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. DEU REQUIREMENTS: Applicants selected under delegated examining procedures may be required to successfully complete a one-year probationary period (unless already completed).
