Summary
The position is assigned to the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs, Office of European Union and Regional Affairs (EUR/ERA). The position serves as a senior Foreign Affairs Officer and China expert with responsibility to coordinate the EUR bureau's strategic direction to advance United State's Government China policy priorities in and with Europe .
Duties
Analyzes emerging legislation, Administration directives, and developments affecting U.S. China policy priorities in Europe.
Develops and evaluates untested strategies to capitalize on emerging regional opportunities, as well as innovative options and alternatives for addressing complex policy issues.
Independently and authoritatively determines, plans, and executes comprehensive assessments to identify and apply the most appropriate tools and methodologies.
Engages with government, commercial, and cultural officials in support of Department and USG China policy priorities in Europe.

How you will be evaluated
The evaluation process consists of the ApplyGov Competency Based Assessments for which applicants will be assigned a score between 70 and 100.
