Summary
The subject position is located in the Office of Specialized and Technical Agencies (IO/STA) which manages U.S. policy in the specialized and technical international agencies, organizations and programs within its portfolio.
Duties
Develops and promotes U.S. policies and objectives at a wide range of international organizations.
Analyzes intelligence and diplomatic reporting that impact United States engagement across the United Nations.
Represents the interests of the US Government (USG) in United Nations (UN) bodies, offices, commissions, treaty bodies, special bodies and process, and non-UN affiliated organizations
Coordinates interagency USG positions and provides technical and diplomatic advice and guidance to other Department of State components and USG agencies on the implications of U.S. policy decisions across the UN system.
Serves as a Foreign Affairs Officer working as both a desk officer and IO thematic expert.

How you will be evaluated
