Summary

This position is located in the General Services Division, Office of the Executive Director, Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA/EX/GSD). The General Services Division (GSD) provides domestic procurement, contracting, travel, general services, and logistical support to the Bureau, and is responsible for the shipment of consular accountable items to all overseas posts.

Duties

Serves as Support Services Supervisor and provides authoritative subject matter expertise to a Bureau workforce dispersed agency-wide.

Provides oversight and serves as a technical authority for office renovations , coordinates and oversees construction projects and space configurations, and obtains cost estimates from service providers and vendors.

Serves jointly with the GSD Director as the CA Bureau liaison with the Bureau of Administration Office of Real Property on a wide range of real property related matters, such as the CA Facility Consolidation Project and space management surveys.

Exercises the full range of delegated supervisory and managerial authorities necessary to successfully plan and carry out the responsibilities assigned to the Support Services Branch.

Coordinates efforts to ensure that a high level of physical security is maintained throughout the Bureau.
