Summary
Training and Development's Training Systems and Coordination Branch manages the systems, processes, and stakeholder coordination needed to support training development, delivery, tracking, and reporting. The branch promotes consistent administration, reliable training data, and alignment of training activities across the organization.
Duties
This Supervisory Program Analyst position is located Training and Development- Training Systems and Coordination, Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to: Performs project type assignments. Designs project plan, establishes timelines, determines resource requirements, executes (or oversees execution of) project activities, and evaluates success of accomplishing objectives. Provides senior management officials with reports, evaluated information, budget proposals** and similar products for effective direction of program operations. Researches complex ongoing and projected programmatic activities. Reviews information, reconciles conflicting data, and devises new and modified methods to analyze findings. As subject matter expert, participates in discussions, meetings, conferences and conference calls with administrative and technical personnel, other subject matter experts, and other agency officials. Interactions are to educate and advise; share information; investigate facts; present conclusions and recommendations; obtain concurrence on alternate courses of action; and to resolve problems collaboratively. Supervises, plans, and/or organizes team efforts to encourage management officials to accept and implement recommendations involving substantial TSA resources (fiscal/facilities/personnel); conducts research and development in new training technologies and leads the implementation of best value technologies and functionalities. Coordinates and evaluates subordinates' work to assure balanced workload and timely responses to assigned actions. Gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Directs, supervises, and schedules activities for a staff of professionals; plans reviews, controls resources; and approving all work assignments and resulting work products. Takes disciplinary action when necessary. Interviews and selects applicants for vacancies. Establishes performance standards, evaluates performance, recommends training and development, and recognizes high quality performance. Schedules and approves leave. Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
You must possess U.S. Citizenship or be a U.S. National. You must have reached the minimum age (18) at the time of application. You must complete a favorable Background Investigation (BI). Selective Service registration is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance. You may be required to complete a one-year Supervisory Trial Period.
