Summary
About the Position: Serves as Chief, Hired Labor Branch and is responsible for coordinating branch activities to assure asteady workflow, maximum production, compliance with deadlines, and economy and efficiency ofoperations.
Duties
Manages a large, multi-disciplined professional, technical, administrative and wage grade workforce.
Outlines overall program requirements and objectives to subordinate supervisors and coordinates and monitors the execution of assigned functions.
Sets priorities and plan work assignments for subordinates.
Provides oversight in the preparation of repair plans, corrective maintenance measures, improvements, or minor alterations to navigation and flood control structures, facilities, and operating machinery.
Reviews current operations and maintenance procedures for facilities operated and maintained by the Government.
Serves as expert consultant and technical advisor on matters pertaining to the operation and maintenance of facilities and associated equipment.
Communicates and resolves controversial issues between varying entities both internal and external to the organization to successfully accomplish objectives.
