Summary
About the Position: Works under supervision of the Chief, Hydraulics Branch, who outlines the broad objectives of assignments in general terms and their relative priority for completion.
Duties
Serves as a principal advisor to Chief, Engineering and Construction Division and Chief, Hydraulics Branch on extremely complex hydrologic analysis and engineering problems and issues.
Supervises the analysis and evaluation of data obtained from topographic and hydrographic surveys,
Plans, coordinates, and organizes the work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets, and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.
Serves as the principal independent technical expert and reviewer for the District relative to hydrologic analysis of complex flood control and multipurpose dams, environmental restoration systems and water supply systems.
