Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to provide acquisition legal advice to all acquisition activities located at Wright-Patterson AFB.
Duties
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time. Represents AFMC Law Office with a variety of installation and functional area organizations. Chief Legal counsel for designated acquisition programs. Examines legal issues raised by requests for formal opinions. Maintains current knowledge of changing statutory and regulatory guidance relating to acquisition and sustainment, as well as general developments in technology that may imporve the effective delivery of legal services. Incumbent is responsible for the timely completion of administrative duties assigned by the AFMCLO leadership.
Education
Must be a graduate of a law school accredited by the American Bar Association, and be currently licensed as an attorney, in active (or equivalent) status and in good standing, with the bar of a U.S. state, territory, or commonwealth. The attorney must maintain such bar membership in at least one jurisdiction during the entire course of employment with the Air Force.
