Summary
About the Position: Serves as the Public Affairs Officer for the Far East District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Additional Information: Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations. Incentives MAY BE paid if the selecting official determines it is in the best interests of the government. The initial length of this overseas tour is 36 months.
Duties
Provide staff advice to Senior Leaders on media relations, command information and community relations.
Direct the District’s media relations and public information programs.
Plan and coordinate what is to be accomplished by subordinate staff.
Ensure adequate, appropriate and timely release of District news through various mediums.
Serve as command speechwriter and special projects coordinator.
