Summary
This position is located in the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, International Programs Directorate (DS/IP). The Directorate staff is responsible for providing financial management, personnel, and policy guidance required to provide a safe and secure environment for the conduct of diplomacy at over 250 posts worldwide. Duties
Conducts comprehensive analyses of short-term and long-term financial needs of DS/IP to develop estimates and prepare financial planning documents.
Evaluates the use of program resources at overseas posts in comparison to approved financial plans, projected workloads, and program priorities, identifying and reconciling inconsistencies as needed.
Conducts analytical studies to evaluate and draft solutions to overseas security issues and problems.
Develops Departmental instructions, telegrams, letters, and memoranda on all phases of operational security matters for dissemination to Regional Security Officers (RSOs), Foreign Service posts, and other U.S. Government (USG) agencies.
Liaises with partners involved in resource and financial management to ensure the timely allocation, obligation, recovery, and transfer of funds for IP posts.

The evaluation process consists of the ApplyGov Competency Based Assessments and a crediting plan for which applicants will be assigned a score between 70 and 100.
