Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as Physician under U.S. Army Human Resources Command. Adjutant General Directorate Physical Disability Agency Fort Sam Houston, Texas and Fort Knox of Kentucky. Duties
Adjudicate soldier fitness based on medical records and Medical Evaluation Board (MEB) case files of Active Duty, Army Reserve, and National Guard Soldiers who have been referred due to not meeting retention standards
Ensure uniform application of medical and regulatory aspects of the disability system.
Serve as medical adjudicative member on both informal and formal boards based on medical review of all case documents and evidence.
Investigate the nature, cause, degree of severity and probably permanency and compensability of disabilities of each solider referred to Physician Evaluation Board (PEB).
Participates in formal hearings, including in-person, telephonic or video-conference forums.
