Summary
You will serve as a Park Ranger at the Mingo National Wildlife Refuge, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. The Park Ranger participates in the development, management, and implementation of a high quality and balanced visitor services (VS) program by recommending and implementing compatible wildlife- dependent recreation activities. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work.
Duties
Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Participates in the development, management, and implementation of a high quality and balanced visitor services program by recommending and implementing compatible wildlife-dependent recreation, education and interpretive activities. Coordinates media to support visitor service programs, including photography, informational pamphlets, social media and other informational tools. Assists Refuge staff develop compatibility determinations for visitor services activities and facilities on refuges. Identifies, develops and maintains partnership activities with community organizations and corporations (community groups, Scouts, service organizations local governments and businesses). Oversees the operation of the refuge Visitor Center as a safe, welcoming and accessible space that supports the vision of the refuge and community. Duties will be developmental in nature when filled below the full performance level.

Education

Transcripts must include your name, school name, grades, credit hours earned, major(s), grade point average or class ranking, and date the degree was conferred, if applicable. A typed list of courses, grades, semester/quarter hours, GPA, etc. will not be accepted. Non-submission may result in being rated not qualified for the position. Unofficial transcripts are acceptable, but if you are selected for this position and you used your education to qualify, you must provide official transcripts before you begin work.
