Summary

About the Position: Serves as the principal Management Assistant to the Chief of Engineering and Construction Division and to branch chiefs and staff in administrative matters. Utilizes a practical understanding of mission requirements and priorities, policies, organization structure, functions, procedures, processes and principles of management.

Duties

Prepares requests for Personnel Actions, Travel Orders, Training Requests, Purchase Requests and Commitments and determines appropriate fund cite for Division and Branch personnel using the Corps of Engineers Financial Management Systems (CEFMS).

Examines travel vouchers for accuracy, reports discrepancies to appropriate supervisor and requests appropriate approvals.

Maintains a master file of original documents and receipts for travel vouchers approved by the Chief.

Drafts standard operating procedures (SOPs), policy statements, guidance, instructions and applicable directives.

Maintains records in accordance with Army Records and Information Management System (ARIMS).

Interprets regulations and changes in procedures and prepares and disseminates office operating procedures and updates as required to ensure accuracy.
