Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Engineers & Scientists with Bachelor's Degrees to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is an Interdisciplinary, GS-12 position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division (SWD), Fort Worth District, Operations Division located in Fort Worth, TX.
Duties
Consult with Engineering Division to work out solutions to complex problems. requiring specialized knowledge.
Inspect field projects to ensure compliance with standards of maintenance and appearance to stablished policies.
Review budget submittals for field projects to assure that fund coverage for maintenance deficiencies are covered.
Monitor progress of construction on modifications that may be necessary due to changing conditions.
Review design memorandums for new projects in design stage for maintainability of proposed features.
Explain proper procedures for repairing control facilities.
Make cost estimates on bids for supplies and equipment rental contracts.
Responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and controlling the project maintenance work.
