Air Reserve Technicians are full-time civilian employees who are also members of the Air Force Reserve unit in which they are employed. In addition to their civilian assignments, they are assigned to equivalent positions in the Reserve organization with a Reserve military rank or grade. Appointee's civilian assignments will consist of the following duties.

Duties

Provides expertise on Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) operations, HUMINT, SIGINT, GEOINT/MASINT, Acquisition Intelligence, Targeting, All-Source / Fusion Analysis, and intelligence products for execution of ISR tasking, collection, processing, analysis and dissemination. Organizes, plans, and oversees the activities of the Group's operations and training programs. Serves as an AFRC ISR expert, interfacing with AFRC and AF ISR Operations Centers, to maintain command/control/oversight and tasking of Air Force Reserve Forces within the ISR Squadron as well as Regular Air Force (RegAF) ISR units, missions, and operations. Manages the Flight operations and training, apportioning and scheduling programs for ISR members. Manages ISR training and readiness for the ISR Flight.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS. This position is in the Excepted Service.
