Summary
This position is responsible for developing, presenting, and executing phases of the Agency-wide budget.
Duties
The duties described are for the full-performance level. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.
The duties may include, but are not limited to:
Prepares documents needed to process budget estimates, requests for supplemental appropriations, allotments from the Department.
Works with Program managers to develop operating budgets, financial report analysis, and budget and program analyses,
Maintains multi-year data to prepare budget schedules, Agency and Departmental estimates, the President's budget, and Congressional explanatory notes.
Provides/Reviews end-of-year financial forecasts to determine current and year-end financial position. Recommends appropriate management actions in view of the results.
Maintains, coordinates, and updates reports submitted to the Budget Office responding to Agency requests, e.g., Budget Data Requests (BDR), Questions for the Record (QFR), Cross-Cuts, etc.
Develops and maintains a system to monitor appropriated funding allocations for grant, cooperative, and reimbursable activities.
Researches, collects and evaluates data for Program and Agency compliance reviews, and recommends courses of action.
