Education and Training Technician
15 open positions in this category
The 1702 series is the technician and support side of education and training: scheduling classes, keeping training records and student data, preparing course materials, running registration and reporting on who has completed what. A training technician often sits in a unit’s training office or a base education center and makes the program run day to day.
Recent listings have included training technicians, most of them in the Department of the Air Force at Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command, Air National Guard units, Air Education and Training Command, Air Mobility Command and Department of the Air Force Headquarters, along with an education technician at the National Park Service, an education specialist and a sponsored programs specialist.
Applying tip: Air Reserve and Air National Guard training technician positions may require military membership in that component, which the “Who May Apply” section states, so check it before applying. Name the training management systems you have used and the size of the population whose records you kept. Our National Guard guide explains Guard announcements, and the Air Force guide covers the major commands.
