Air National Guard Units
66 remote or telework-eligible positions · federal agency
The Air National Guard is the air component of the National Guard, with units in every state, territory and the District of Columbia that serve both their governor and, when mobilized, the U.S. Air Force. Each state’s units post their own civilian announcements on USAJOBS, which is why the same job title can appear from several states at once. Many of these civilian positions are dual-status technician roles: the employee holds a full-time federal job and must also be a member of the Guard unit, with the announcement stating which military grades and assignments are compatible.
Recent listings have included information security specialists, financial management analysts, aircraft engine mechanics, aircraft electricians and sheet metal mechanics, training technicians, aircraft maintenance managers, IT customer-support specialists, health technicians and firefighters, along with Title 32 medical administrative and health systems roles.
Applying tip: before anything else, read the announcement’s military requirements. If the position requires Guard membership and you are not a member, the announcement explains what that means for you. Our National Guard guide explains how technician announcements differ from ordinary federal jobs; headquarters-level staff positions are posted under a separate name on the Air National Guard page.
