Summary
This position is located in the Defense Commissary Agency, Sales, Marketing & Policy Group, Logistics Directorate, US Equipment, property and recycling Division. The incumbent provides complex technical advice, assistance and support of the DeCA Order Processing Point (OPP), East Function, the support center for overseas commissaries.
Duties
As a Supply Management Specialist, you will be responsible for the following duties: Process automated ordering, shipping, inventory, discrepancy, and payment actions for subsistence items. Maintain commodity availability by managing catalog information, monitoring inventory, and supporting the distribution network. Serve as a key point of contact for internal staff, regional offices, and commercial supply partners involved in overseas subsistence support. Resolve supply problems by researching discrepancies, tracing missing items, finding alternative sources, and determining corrective actions. Process emergency and special item requests and ensure packing, delivery, and receipt data comply with agency policies. Read the entire announcement before starting the application process.
Education
