Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory Public Health Analyst, you will: Direct a public health, healthcare, or related program: Direct the National Hansen's Disease Program by establishing program priorities, policies, budget, and operational objectives and evaluating program effectiveness to improve organizational performance and patient outcomes. Manage organizational resources: Direct the Program's fiscal, human capital, information technology, facilities, and administrative resources to ensure sound stewardship of Federal funds and effective mission accomplishment. Advise senior leadership: Provide authoritative advice and guidance to senior officials on complex public health policy and program matters, including assessing policy, legislative, and regulatory developments and their implications for agency plans, policies, and priorities. Perform workforce management functions: Exercise full supervisory responsibility for subordinate staff, including workforce planning, performance management, employee development, and labor and employee relations.
Education

Category rating procedures will be used to rate and rank candidates. The category assignment is a measure of the degree in which your background matches the competencies required for this position. Qualified candidates will be ranked into one of three categories: Best Qualified - Applicants who have experience that is almost identical to those required by the position. Well Qualified - Applicants who have experience that is very similar to those required by the position. Qualified - Applicants who meet minimum qualification requirements, but do not identify any additional qualifying experience or skill. Candidates in the highest category will be referred to the hiring agency.
