Summary
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the 780th Military Intelligence Brigade, 782d Military Intelligence Battalion, located at Fort Gordon, GA.
Duties
Serves as a senior Cryptologic Cyberspace Operations Specialist responsible for leading, planning, coordinating and executing the analysis, collection operations of digital networks, and support in the planning of Cyber Warfare activities.
Utilizes expertise in a variety of computer network defense resources and Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) resources to identify, analyze, and report events and to exploit captured media and/or investigates computer security incidents .
Responsible for planning and coordinating technical analysis in support of national and theater intelligence requirements and to provide leading edge Cyberspace Operations support to an evolving Army Cyberspace Operations mission.
Conducts initial and advanced analysis to establish target identification and operational patterns; identify, report, and maintain intelligence information in support of Intelligence Requirements.
Participates in the integration of Cyberspace Operations capabilities into operations/exercise design and integrating/synchronizing Cyber-related effects.
Coordinates with other senior Cyber Specialists and participates in meetings and working groups in support of collection management initiatives, planning operations and goals, and initiatives and assessments.
Evaluates incoming intelligence and determines pertinent data that should be directed to higher levels of management.
