Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Clinical Standards and Quality,. As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-14, you will direct the activities of a Branch that implements, monitors, and evaluates programs for assessing State survey agency performance in interpreting and applying health, quality-of-care, and Life Safety Code (LSC) standards and procedures.
Duties
Ensures staff complete timely and accurate provider certification actions, including terminations, waivers, and complaints.
Directs evaluation and certification of Medicare/Medicaid providers.
Promotes quality management, teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement.
Represents the agency on survey and certification matters.
Leads evaluation of validation surveys and State Survey Agency performance.
