Summary
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Offices of Hearings and Inquiries (OHI). As a Supervisor Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-15, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team overseeing contractors, systems, and workflows supporting the Marketplace appeals program; coordinate IT linkages; advise CMS leadership on program improvements; and ensure appeals processes are fair, timely, effective, and reliable.
Duties
Serving as first-level supervisor and Division Director, leading a staff responsible for implementing the use of information technology and data systems in the Marketplace appeals process.
Managing the work of subordinates by planning assignments, setting priorities, and establishing schedules.
Serving as technical expert and advisor to CMS leadership at the group, office, and agency level.
Analyzing program needs, projecting multi-year funding requirements, and preparing detailed justifications for all requested resources.
Managing staff that oversee the operations and IT systems contracts necessary to support appeals functionality.
