Summary
About the Position: As a Supervisory Branch Chief and Senior (unlimited warrant) Contracting Officer you will provide both pre-award and post-award contracting functions to support District, Division and agency-wide missions through contracts for specialized procurement programs.
Duties
Provides both technical and administrative supervision over assigned civilian and military personnel; Section Chiefs, Technical Leads, Contracting Officers, and Contract Specialists.
Advises acquisition personnel, Contracting Officers, Contract Specialists, primary customers, agency-wide stakeholders, and other pertinent personnel in all phases of the acquisition process.
Reviews/approves negotiation position, the determination of types of contracts and negotiation authority to be used, and justification for negotiation position and other requirements.
Ensures coordination with the engineering and technical departments, legal counsel, audit, and subordinate activities.
Executes all approval levels within assigned contracting authority.
Supports, participates and provides technical assistance to project management teams when necessary.
