Summary
The position is located in the Cultural Programs Division (CU), Office of Citizen Exchanges (PE/C), Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), Department of State (DoS). The Office of Citizen Exchanges manages professional, youth, and cultural programs through grants and cooperative agreements to American experts and U.S. non-profit institutions, including community organizations, professional associations, and universities.
Duties
Serves as an expert advisor to the Division Chief, Deputy Chief, and Office Director regarding relevant cultural institutions and organizations through which to address U.S. interests.
Develops pilot and special exchange projects, including virtual and hybrid projects, to meet specific foreign policy or program goals and to respond to congressional interest.
Works with grantee implementing organization to evaluate projects in regions of responsibility at appropriate interim stages and at conclusion.
Develops and forwards announcement materials and annual reports on active programs to relevant Missions and Bureaus.
