Summary
About the Position: The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14/15. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities.
Duties
Coordinate and develop procedures relating to the financial management, acquisition strategy, and logistical support services required by the project.
Assist in the preparation of Requests for Proposal, Statements of Work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, specifications, and acquisition plans.
Plan, conduct, and direct highly complex reviews and initiate reports which are provided to higher headquarters and other Department of Defense (DoD) commands with recommendations on the best courses of action for the project.
Identifies and balances risks, selects alternatives, and plans how to best accomplish the goals and objectives of the project within recognized guidelines.
Review and/or develop regulatory documentation for the acquisition project and recommend appropriate actions to obtain the approval.
Reviews input from integrated logistics systems sites for appropriateness of requests, availability of resources, and compatibility with the integrated logistics effort.
Project major milestones and events necessary for the strategic implementation of the acquisition project.
Briefs senior management at the Department of Defense, Department of Army, and Program Executive Office Headquarters level on the status of the assigned programs.
