Summary

You will serve as a PHSYICAL SCIENCE TECHNICAN in the RADIOLOGICAL MONITORING DIVISION, RADIOLOGICAL CONTROL OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will serve as a Senior Physical Science Technician that oversees and accomplishes a broad range of complex tasks involving detailed knowledge of theoretical and practical matters related to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.

You will conduct continuing surveillance of work involving radiological controls and radioactive materials to ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and sound radiological control concepts.

You will develop input on radiological control requirements to be used during radiological work and assure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

You will provide on-the job mentoring and training for junior radiological control technicians to ensure adequate development and proficiency.
