The primary purpose of this position is: Serve as a Program Manager responsible for performing the full range of medical readiness plans and operations in addition to the role of primary Manpower Functional Area Manager. The position will analyze tasks relative to ANG medical plans, operations, manpower, and analytics.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Medical Plans and Operations Branch; ensuring that work complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs. Represents the Branch and/or Division with a variety of functional area organizations. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with field personnel, other ANGRC Directorates, NGB, AF, AFRC, other service components, DoD, SECDEF, MAJCOMs, Congress, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs, and contractors. Performs ongoing evaluation and analysis of ANG Medical Service manpower, analytics and plans in support of major Air National Guard missions and operational plans. Analyzes the effect of updates in plans on manpower and readiness reporting; identifying changes in areas where necessary. Actively participates in strategic planning to improve organizational direction and focus using strategic planning tools and techniques. Performs supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
