Summary
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serve as a Mechanical Engineer with responsibility for the design of mechanical equipment and related features of ammunition equipment
Duties
Develop preliminary and final design, layout, and/or computer generated models for new designs or improvements to existing equipment.
Manage full scope of mechanical engineering projects such as; performance specifications, drawings, shop production, equipment assembly, performance testing, and/or technical documentation.
Review engineering change proposals for anticipated deviations to equipment standards and specifications.
Apply engineering concepts to the operation and maintenance of equipment/systems such as; munitions assembly and disassembly machinery, incineration systems, and/or pollution control equipment.
Utilize mechanical engineering concepts to develop solutions to unique and complex problems impacting projects.
Education
