Summary

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA.

Duties

Serves as a technical expert and program manager for network infrastructure.

This includes planning, budgeting, and directing projects, as well as developing and establishing policies and procedures for network operations based on DoD and DISA standards.

Demonstrates expertise with TCP/IP networking, firewalls, proxy servers, and VPNs. Must have in -depth knowledge of network operating systems.

Must have in -depth knowledge of network operating systems. Microsoft services (including O365), cloud capabilities (like AWS), and Enterprise Management Systems for monitoring network health and performance.

Develops policies and procedures for networks and systems operations.

Apply advanced IT principles to develop, interpret, and govern policies for network services.

In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and practices to command and control defensive cyber operations.

Education

There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-14 grade level.
