Summary
This position is located in the Office of the Under Secretary of War, Comptroller, Budget and Appropriations Affairs (OUSD(C)(BAA)) and is responsible for assisting the USD(C) in ensuring Senate and House of Representatives Committees on Appropriations are informed in a timely manner regarding all matters relating to the budgetary, fiscal and analytical activities of the DoD that are under the supervision of the USD(C).
Duties
This is a Direct Hire Public Notice, under this recruitment, applications will be accepted for each location and/or installation identified in this Public Notice and selections are made for vacancies as they occur. This position is being filled under Direct Hire Authority (DHA) in accordance with Section 1109 of FY 2020 NDAA; P. L. 116-92 and Section 9905 of Title 5 U.S.C. Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following: Researches, analyzes, and organizes facts and materials to develop various written or other materials, related to the Department's budget, financial management programs, and as required, legislative priorities. Prepares the Secretary of War, Deputy Secretary and DoW senior leadership for posture hearings, budget rollout briefings, appropriations and audit related hearings and congressional engagements with key Members and staff. Coordinates required financial data and analyses to respond to congressional data requests relating to budgetary data. Manages congressional tracking, drafting, coordinating, and archiving of congressional reports, requests for information, and engagements. Engages Members of Congress and Congressional Staff on Department of War budgetary matters and defense appropriations.
