Summary
This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties
You will have extensive practical knowledge of the electronics, electrical, hydraulic, hoisting, mechanical and wire rope fields, with experience in maintenance.
You will have knowledge of construction contract management as it specifically applies to elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters and other vertical transportation equipment.
You will have the ability to locate and accurately analyze abnormal conditions or problems whether actual or potential such as inadequate safety interlocks, improper design, poor performance or ASME / ANSI Safety Code violations.
You will have knowledge of basic mathematics including algebra and geometry to perform engineering calculations relative to vertical transportation equipment inspections.
You will have the ability to provide technical information and advice to those who design, test, produce, procure, supply, operate, repair, or dispose of VTE equipment.
You will generate detailed inspection reports assessing equipment condition, safety code compliance deficiencies noted, and makes recommendations for modifications to improve the safety, efficiency of use, and life span of the equipment.
Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
