Summary
You will serve as a Engineering Technician (2M MTR FOTR) in the Engineering Department of FWD DEPLOYED REG MAINT CTR DET ROTA.
Duties
You will ensure quality and cost effective troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications to surface ships as well as train military personnel in preparation for them to return to sea.
You will be responsible for planning work, setting timelines, and preparing schedules for completion of work.
You will be responsible for the scheduling of all inspections and certifications and the coordination of obtaining materials as required in support of the 2M, MTR, FOTR program.
You will systematically approach the planning, organizing, directing, and controlling organizational resources, make appropriate prioritization and critical decisions to support the achievement of goals and objectives
You will provide expertise on all aspects of electronic circuit card repair and reconstruction.
You will serve in an advisory role to the Chief Engineer via the Technical Director in matters requiring Technical Authority.
Education
No basic education requirements ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The work regularly involves frequent exposure to hazardous conditions such as: high electrical voltages; large rotating machinery elements; electromagnetic radiation from high powered transmitters; nuclear radiation in and around machinery spaces aboard nuclear powered ships; explosive, flammable or incendiary materials, turbines, condensers, etc. ICTAP Applicants: To be considered well-qualified and exercise selection priority as an ICTAP candidate, displaced Federal employees must satisfy all qualification requirements for the position and receive a rating in the highly qualified category (score 85) or higher.
