Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with the Directorate of Strategic Management at Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania.

Duties

Formulate technical designs, specifications, and computer-aided drawings (CAD) for diverse electronic systems, equipment, and shelter communications to support in-house and contracted production projects.

Resolve complex engineering problems and technical challenges by applying advanced academic knowledge, exercising resourcefulness, and deviating from traditional engineering methods when precedents do not apply.

Evaluate project costs, quantities, and technical specifications to deliver accurate preliminary and final estimates for electronic engineering features performed by Depot personnel or external contractors.

Author technical position papers, reports, and formal briefings comparing engineering alternatives with supporting data to recommend the most feasible and energy-conserving solutions to leadership.
