Summary
This position is located in the Office of the Assistant to the Secretary of Defense (Public Affairs) (OATSD(PA)), who is the principal staff assistant and advisor to the Secretary of Defense for the Department of Defense (DoD) public information, internal information, clearance of DoD information for public release, community relations, public affairs professional development, and audiovisual matters.
Duties
Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as the key advisor for the executive management of resources and special programs. Prepares and recommends annual and supplemental budget estimates for approval. Coordinates on organizational policy and reviews all staff actions. Conducts studies, analyses, and inspections to report on the effective and efficient use of public affairs personnel and fiscal resources.
