Summary
About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Fort Meade, Maryland.
Duties
Oversees team members’ use of the Workload Management System (WMS) to capture, document and disseminate information on action items and other time-sensitive tasking to JCWA components and other cyberspace program partners.
Negotiates with external partners to obtain access to essential SME resources, and clearly communicates these partners’ taskings and roles/responsibilities, as well as quality standards and deadlines, including interim milestones.
Provides oversight for cyberspace program management processes, including file system continuity and calendars, to keep the JCWA leadership fully informed of the status and progress of all current strategy, plans, and policy activities.
Forms and leads analytical project teams, which typically include technical and functional SMEs, to conceptualize and critically assess alternative approaches to existing functions and processes.
Provides oversight for information security (INFOSEC) and operational security (OPSEC) activities to ensure appropriate and consistent protection of the JCWA’s classified information resources, including physical access control.
Leads, contributes to, and coordinates efforts, supported by JCWA functional and technical SMEs, to generate and provide detailed, justifiable inputs to the budget planning process.
