The 0308 series covers records and information management: building and applying records schedules, managing electronic records and email, governing information across its lifecycle and ensuring an agency meets the requirements the National Archives sets under the Federal Records Act. The work is often paired with FOIA, privacy or knowledge management duties.

Recent listings have included records and information management specialists, one of them focused on knowledge management, and a records management specialist, with positions at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the National Transportation Safety Board, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, the Office of the Secretary of Defense and an Air National Guard unit.
